Information for Licensed MinistersAll local and district licensed ministers must complete the Beginning the Journey: Ministry Assessment Center.

The next assessment will be held on February 25-26, 2011, and April 1-2, 2011.

Our North Central Ohio District Assembly is July 12-14, at the MVNU R. R. Hodges Chapel. Dr. Jesse Middendorf will serve as the presiding general superintendent. We ask that all licensed ministers attend the Tuesday evening, July 13, Ordination/Recognition of Ministry Service at 7:30 p.m.
All paperwork will be due May 1 - no exceptions. The Credentials Board will meet on Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15. (In general, ordination and special circumstance appointments will be held on Friday; district license appointments will be held on Saturday.
Please note the Credential Process and Plan of Examination documents which have important information regarding approved coursework.
For reports and applications please use your full name (first middle last).
If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, go to Section 1. If “no” to ALL of these questions, go to Section 2.
Will this be your first district license?
(you must have had a local license for one full year and attended the Ministry Assessment Center)
Have you transferred a district license from another district within the last church year?
Are you a potential candidate for graduation from the course of study?
Do you have questions about your course of study or call to ministry?
Do you want to be considered for ordination?
(you must have graduated the course of study, completed the service requirement
and attended the Ministry Assessment Center)
Did either the Credentials or Studies Board request to meet with you?
Section 1: You need to meet with the Boards:
-- Call the district office (740-397-5740) to set an appointment with the Credentials Board and/or the Studies Board,
in Mount Vernon on Saturday, May 15. -- Go to Section 2.
Section 2: You do not have to meet with the Boards:
-- Please complete (on the computer), print, sign and mail to the district office by May 1:
-- The Pastor’s Evaluation.
-- The Recommendation to District Assembly form. (Each year the church board of the local church where you are a member must recommend you to the District Assembly for minister's license.)
-- If you have not graduated from the course of study, please complete and mail to Rev. Lester Champer
(169 S. Mansfield Ave., Shelby, OH 44875; fax 419-342-6549) by May 1: -- The Ministerial Studies Report.
-- Request official transcripts for any course work be sent to Rev. Champer.
If you are applying for ordination:
-- Complete all the above AND
-- Call the district office and complete the Application for Ordination as soon as possible.
