Boxed lunches available for $7 each or kids will need to bring a packed lunch.

  • All children must be pre-registered individually by March 24th. Registration is available online only at ncodistrict.org/talent. A group registration form must also be filled out for each group participating. Upon completion of registration, you will receive an email with information to make a payment on the district website. The $6 per child event fee will be due at that time. (Those participating only in a group must still register individually and pay the event fee)

  • Kids will need to register for performance times in advance. Parents will receive an email with details regarding time slot sign-ups following registration.

  • There is a limit of 4 total events per child. (including group & individual events)

  • Kids should present their piece at their local church prior to the event.

  • Biblical truth should be evident in all entries.

  • The goal of this day is to encourage and affirm every child, provide helpful feedback to help kids grow, and to bring glory to God. All children will be recognized. Top earners in each category will be honored.

  • CD/MP3 audio file accompaniment may be used for performance entries. If you plan to do so, a 'Notes for Sound Technician' form MUST be filled out and given to the sound tech prior to the performance for each entry. (form available at ncodistrict.org/talent)

  • There is a strict time limit of 4 minutes per selection for performance entries. Each participant in Hot Shot Hoops will receive 2 minutes.

  • Two copies of the selection (music/lyrics/script) must be provided for the judges at the time of the performance.

  • Each participant or group must prepare TWO EVALUATION FORMS for each entry. These should be in the possession of the participant the day of, who will give them to the judges when they are called to perform. For arts, crafts, photography and creative writing, forms will be placed beside the entry. Blank forms will be available at check-in. However, it is the responsibility of the participant or parent/chaperone to pick up and complete forms prior to the performance. (forms available at ncodistrict.org/talent)

  • Arrival/Check-in begins at 9:15 am. The event kick-off will begin at 10:00 am.

  • Lunch Options: As an NYC Fundraiser, Mt. Vernon First Youth will have boxed lunches available for $7 each. You can reserve one when registering. OR, kids will need to bring a packed lunch.
