Ministry Assessment

All local and district licensed ministers must complete the Beginning the Journey: Ministry Assessment.

As you journey on the path toward ordination, we would like to invite you to attend the “Beginning the Journey: Ministry Assessment Center”, an event designed to support those called to vocational ministry. We continue to receive great feedback on the value and importance of this event from those who are called into ministry – over 170 candidates (plus spouses) have gone through the NCO assessment!

We are anticipating a large number of participants and are planning two one-day events in 2027:

• Friday, February 19 (tentatively @ Mansfield Heart City)

• Saturday, February 20 (tentatively @ Mansfield Heart City)

To reserve your spot, please email ncodistrict@mvnu.edu and pay a $50 non-refundable deposit no later than November 30 (mail a check to the below address or pay at www.ncodistrict.org/giving). The total cost for the assessment is $75 per couple ($50 per single adult).

All materials and remaining balance are due by January 25. The application is extensive; please plan ahead to have it submitted on time as we cannot accept materials after the deadline. https://www.ncodistrict.org/assessment

The event will run from 9:30a.m. until approximately 5:00p.m. The format and individual approach make it necessary to limit the number of participants. Space is limited to six candidates at each event.

This event is required prior to applying for a district license (or prior to ordination if you transferred a district license to our district).

If you are married, your spouse must attend.

The application is extensive; please plan ahead to have it submitted on time. Late materials cannot be accepted.
