The North Central Ohio District exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ by:

1.  Resourcing our Pastors to fulfill the Great Commission.

2.  Empowering our Churches for Cultural Engagement.

3.  Inspiring our People for Missional Living.

ONE BIG FAMILY
One Great Opportunity

The North Central Ohio District serves to advance God’s kingdom by encouraging and resourcing the local church to accomplish the mission of the Church of the Nazarene within each church's unique context. We are fortunate to have a compact geographical area with 64 churches and 5 compassionate ministries in 22 counties in the central and northeastern part of Ohio. Our district stretches from the outskirts of Columbus north to Lake Erie, encompassing the cities of Delaware, Marion, Wooster, Mansfield, Sandusky, and the metropolitan Cleveland area, then east along the lake to Ashtabula and the PA border.

We are blessed to have a unique district family that supports and encourages each other to fulfill the great commission.  Our district seeks to reach this generation with the power of Gospel, and we believe we do not have any time to waste.

Movement…  A group of people working together with unified belief for a cause.

We Believe that if every person on our district embodies these three priorities God will move in great ways on the NCO District

  1. Engage People Where They Are
We do not expect the world to come to church
We expect the church to be in the World

Mark 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

  2. Make Disciples
People cannot accept what they have not heard
People will not follow without an example

Matthew 28:19-20, “19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

  3. Pursue Holiness
Holiness breaks the power of sin in our lives
Holiness calls us to serve others

2 Corinthians 7:1, “Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
