This is a great opportunity for a multi-generational missions’ trip. If there is one person or a bunch of people in your congregation that might be interested in attending, they are welcome to join the NCO district team! We will be going in the summer of 2024.

WHO is Encuentro?

Encuentro Missions provides mission opportunities for teens and families. We are official partners with USA/Canada Nazarene Youth International and are also working hand in hand with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. For the past 50 years, we have facilitated trips in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Peru. Over 250,000 students have participated, resulting in more than 2 million children and adults hearing the Gospel message through Encuentro events. We have also experienced hundreds of students who realized and heard their call for the first time on one of our trips! Encuentro is led by a team of long-time Nazarene youth workers and pastors.  We partner with local churches in the countries we visit, learn what their needs are and then match them up with our teams from the United States and Canada.

WHAT types of projects are offered?

We partner with local churches to provide VBS programs and sports clinics to the communities. Most teams also do light construction projects (like painting) and some of our intergenerational teams pull off bigger construction projects. We also send out medical teams and try to design other type of teams as needs and opportunities arise from the local churches we are partnering with.

  • The cost of the trip is approximately $1500-$2000 per person depending on flight expenses.

  • Application details coming soon!

  • There are many ways to fundraise and seek funds, so don’t let that stop you!

  • If you have questions, please contact Shannon Wilson our district Encuentro coordinator.

We would love to take as many as possible to serve the Lord through missions’ in Costa Rico! These trips are life changing!

Serving Him,

Shannon Wilson
